What are we teaching our children? How does a 12 year old come up with the idea to rob another kids Lemonade Stand? Worse than that, was that Lemonade Stand permitted?
If the Lemonade Stand was not granted the appropriate Permits to operate, perhaps the Robber was not a Robber at all, but Neighborhood Watch trying to enforce the law. Had he of used his bb gun, he would have been protected by the Stand Your Ground laws as the Lemonade Stand Operator chose physical confrontation instead of letting the guy just take his money. This won’t be tried in Florida, so . . .
In all seriousness, what would make a 12 year old start his criminal future robbing Lemonade Stands? Is this peer influence, television influence, local gang influence, or parental neglect. I am seriously curious because somebody needs to ask the question, and I doubt Child Services will do so.
The Lemonade Stand Operator wins out in the end, due to mob intervention.
Now the only question left to be asked . . . Did the Police charge him as an adult with an enhancement due to a firearm used in the commission of a crime?
