The News Is Chock Full Of Grief . . .

It seems like the world woke up and decided that is was Monday, so let’s just show it to be Monday. Between a

there appears to be little to be happy about on this Monday morning. If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area you had the pleasure of the B.A.R.T. strike, numerous accidents tying up local freeways, and me being in a damn lousy mood for the better part of the day. I know my contribution fails in significance compared to the aforementioned headlines, but it was real significant to those effected. So, since my day job seems to think I enjoy really long days doing really hard work, I think I am going to limit my commentary on today to this:

“We really live in a tough time now-a-day, I wish we could love a little more and harm each other a little less. In my 56 years I have seen many a wonderful event. I have survived love, hate, bigotry, war, society, and the streets. But throughout my entire life, I have been witness to the hurtful things people do to people. Recently I have observed the lack of compassion and lack of integrity as becoming acceptable conduct. Can we please have a better day tomorrow? “
