  1. The reason I reblogged this posting was because most people are unaware how the War On Drugs impacts the Country and the lengths some Law Enforcement Agency will go stoop to make an arrest. My problem with this undercover sting, is it’s blatant entrapment of students. I cannot be sure of the details missing in the provided information, but how many of the students arrested were know to be drug users? Like the Autistic kid. He was okey-doked into providing pot for the cop playing his friend. The Autistic kid probably did not do drugs. So, how many non-users were suckered into being the drug provider for their friend the cop? When you conduct an undercover sting, you are supposed to target those currently involved in the illegal activity, not bring outsiders into the situation that likely would not be there without the persistence of the Officer.

  2. To make a bad situation worse, a number of the arrests made due to this officer were prosecuted through the Courts and the Court did not call the arrests entrapment. For the life of me I do not understand how a cop could create a situation in which non-dealers could be made into dealers by acts of the officer and it not be seen as anything less than entrapment. This cop did not arrest “dealers.” He talked students into getting drugs for him then had them arrested as dealers. It’s stupid!
